Great cause, and great support. This is exactly what we needed to show the MDNR just how important the muskie fishery is to us in MN, and others nationwide and in Canada.

Believe me, they took notice, and were very impressed with what we did and are doing.

Hi.I have received a few inquiries in the last 24 hours asking a few questions that I'll try to answer.First let me set the stage on drawing night.The vast bulk of the prizes(100's)shows up in the same place for the first time;ditto on all the tickets and ticket applications;(for example hundreds and hundreds of tickets had to be filled out one at a time to insure all mail and credit card appliers got one ticket per $5 fee-at one time 8 volunteers working on this alone);then the 'group'had to decide on how to break all the donations into 'prizes'(we'd still be there drawing if each lure had been a prize-thus we grouped many);these then were 'packaged' roughly according to value since an effort was made to draw most of the larger prizes first.This really took time and only then could the actual drawing start.The drawing was from a huge ticket holder(I'll get a pic attached by someone)and was in public.100% above board by a mix of volunteers.
Time wise this,by now,had to move along.A list-the one published here-was kept but each prize(already packaged)was tagged with the actual ticket.The disposition,ie,contacting the winners,getting prizes etc mailed was divided up.A monumental task all done by volunteers who just want to help a great cause!!!!
OK,think this rambling answered some guestions but I agree this list doesn't 'list'every prize.For instance,I donated 3 of my books but each of them was lumped with a couple lures and are desciibed here as a 'lure package'.Ditto on other donated books.The point is each and every lure or prize isn't listed here but each and every one was awarded.
Folks we are not professional 'raffelers'.We did it as best we could and as fair as we can be.None of us got a dime or a prize.
What we did do is raise over $10,000 for a good cause.
Thanks to all for your support and contributions.Thanks to all the other volunteers.Thanks to the St Cloud Mn MI Chapter for allowing us to have the drawing(and all the commotion described above)at your meeting-which we basically prevented from happening as planned.
Finally thanks very much to this 'board'for all the assistance and support.

I noticed a couple of guys winning twice, Tom and Gerald but never notice the lucky guy named Steve. God I had 20 tickets and won nothing, I am normaly the lucky guy at the prize table. I am just glad to help the cause two folds.

What an awesome deal, winning a day on the lake with Musky Tom. I plan to donate the trip to my two oldest sons if that's o.k. with Tom. I'm pretty new at this sport. It would be great if he could put them on to their first skis.

As far as the "Big Woody", I don't know what one is, so I guess I'll have to keep that to find out!

FYI Musky Tom - I got my boys hooked on ZZ TOP and LED ZEPPLIN. And yes I am Jim's older, better looking brother.:)

All that stuff was from his wild imagination and spongy Brain.
He is now trying to Sell Lake lots in Brainerd, under the name Galf Cady and will soon be sent to the minors of the Grapefruit league for life If I have my way!
I been liv'en large in a Hollywood Jail for five seasons under false charges of being the guy who stared in John Carpenters cult movies "Escape From New York", "Escape from LA" and "The THING".
But in ALL reality I was Really only the stunt double!

Yes I did notice, very much appreciated. My feelings on different aspects of tournament fishing do not cloud my vision to the fact that there are many (probably most) tournament anglers that work very hard and give a lot to the betterment of our fisheries.

This raffle is an excellant example of how people can have different views and still work together to accomplish a common goal.
