My wife has been asking me what my New Year's resolutions are for 2002. (My guess is that she actually thinks I'm going to do something in regard to self-improvement or home-improvement. But hey, that wouldn't be any fun.) Therefore, be it resolved that I'm not only going to fish for walleyes more in the new year. I'm even resolving to catch some!!! Any other resolutions out there? -- mark

It's not related to fishing, but to my other vice, hunting.
Shoot at least 100 rounds through my 22 rimfire rifle every week. Paper targets or small plinking targets will be used. Anything to reinforce that eye-index finger reflex. I did this a few years ago, and experienced a much higher confidence during the deer season. It's a good thing for those of you who still have kids at home, too.
