I'm taking a break from the great walleye ice fishing up here in Manitoba . I'm looking at taking a trip to Texas in late January to fish for bass at Lake Fork . I've never been there and would like some suggestions on where to stay , as well as names of good guides . I'm only fishing for two days, and would like a chance at big bass !

You can really get some good deal around Lake Fork if you look real hard.
Some good places to stay are:
Lake Fork Lodge
Hide-a-way Harbor
Mustang Resort
etc...
Guides:
Jeff Kirkwood
Sherry Ruslink
Brian Duplechain
January is a good time to be on Fork, most of the crowd does not get their until March/April.

thanks for the names , who do the guides work for and how do I contact them ? I hope to get out fishing on Jan 31 , and Feb 1 . I want a really good guide with all equipment needed .I don't want to bring any gear on this particular trip .

I've never fished Lake Fork so I don't hany first hand info. There are several Lake Fork guide services who advertise on the Bass Fishing Home Page. Here's the link:
