Every year about this time, my feet get cracks in them. I was just wondering if anyone has a remedy for this type of problem. They are very painfull and I do glue them back together with super glue which helps alot. But does anyone else have a concoction or recipe such as Sturgeon Roe, Goby Eyes and the slime from Green Night crawlers mixed with sheep head lips or any other such medicine????

Never underestimate the healing qualities of dog saliva and hog lard.
You seem like a imaginative type fellow so you will surely figure out the best method of application.
You will be back dancing in no time.

Don't know where you live but if there is a Fleet Farm near you get some udder cream. Farmers use it on their hands so as to be nice to the cows. There's no gaurantee that you'll be able to milk your feet after use but you won't have a mess on the floor either.
Happy New Year.

I have the same problem this time of year. I think it's due to the drop in Humidity during the winter.
I use an ointment called Blue Star Crack Cream. I get it at Walgreens here in Illinois but I'm sure you could find it at any Pharmacy.

Another type to try on the line that Walizz 1 talked about is bag balm. Might have to got to a vet clinic to get it though. Best stuff I've every found for healing cracked hands. Hutch

Mine do the same thing. I started using Nuetragina every night on the cracks, then pulling on socks to keep the area moist. It helps quite alot.

Bag Balm, Yep it works. Put it on your feet, then put socks over them and go to bed. Works like a charm.
We can get it here in Texas at Walgreens, Eckerds, etc.

I use Eucerin Cream. Comes in a 4 oz or 16 oz jar. Real thick stuff. Your condition is due to dry winter air. I'd also suggest increasing your water consumption to hydrate your body.

The best stuff I've found to work is Zim's Crack Cream. It works great on those gelcoat stress cracks too!:D

Well, since you asked----- I have been in practice for the past 20 years and have seen many cracked heels. It is important to establish why your heels are cracking? Is it related to your general health, weight, humidity, work load, shoe or sock type, hereditary??? These are basic things we check for. Is is fungal related???? Do you have heels with thick callouses around the perimeter with cracks and fissures within the callouses??? OK now for therapy. IF your general health is good with no history of diabetes mellitus or peripheral vascular disease, I usually recommend Carmol 40 which is a prescription item containing 40% urea. If your cracked heels are related to fungus, I have had good luck with Lamisil cream. If you want to use a decent over the counter, I have had my best luck with Aquaphor and Eucerin Plus not just Eucerin! The Eucerin Plus has a nicer, more penetrating base. Anyway, these should be used at bedtime with socks and by all means if you have no success, please either e-mail me with more details or visit you local PODIATRIST! Happy new year!!!
I use Bag Balm. Works for me. Most farm-feed stores have it. Russell
