I'd like to ask for some help from my fellow walleye anglers out in Colorado. My niece's husband is stationed at Ft. Carson, and is quite the fish hound. He fishes quite a bit for Trout out there, but would love to learn more about the walleye fishing to be had in the state of Colorado.
If any of you out that way would be willing to help out this young soldier, I would deeply appreciate it! If interested please e-mail me at lillypad@novagate.com for his info.
Thanks, and Hoppy Holidays!

If he has a boat tell him to check teh board in teh summer and go to either trinidad or pueblo, thats about it for a decent walleye bite in colo, and really with all thats been going on I can't say one way or another for this coming year, a colorodan poster ofteh handle BILL is the man along with dkooser and Art/CO for the southern reaches.
Kevin,
Where in Trinidad or Pueblo?
I live in Albuquerque and have been fishing Cochiti since August and have had some good luck with the eyes. 30" 10.5#er this last weekend.

Thanks for the replies. He does not have a boat that I know of. When you have to move around as much as a Soldier does things like that are more of a hindrance. If any of you can help, I thank you in advance.
Hoppy New Year!

BRS-
We're you fishing from a boat at Cochiti? Have you tried Conchas, Abiqui, Santa Rosa, or Summner? All good eye lakes.

Lake Trinidad or Pueblo Resivior, can't say where to fish for Trinidad but in Pueblo we like to work the clifts. Not the most probable pattern but it works for us.

I have only started to fish the waters of NM since August. I have fished Cochiti and the Butte.
This summer I plan on trying all that you mentioned.
We fished Cochiti this last weekend and the first with no luck. It seems the lake may have shut down. We were not marking any fish.
Are any of the other lakes still fishable by boat? I'm not an ice man.

I'd be willing to talk to the guy but I have more fishing partners than available weekends to take them all out on the boat. I don't mind spilling what I know (Eric/CO says that will take about 20 seconds) about Pueblo and any other southern lakes. Does he have e-mail? If not, let me know how to contact him.
