Last Saturday was Phil Schweik's wedding. He invited his best man and I musky fishing before the big lakeside ceremony. So at 7 am we met at Gander Mountain in Wausau and picked up a couple of suckers. By 8 O'Clock, Phil landed a 42", what a great thing to happen the morning of a wedding. That wasn't all though...30min later his hooks and lands a massive 49.25" with a HUGE girth. The musky gods shined on him that morning as if offering a wedding gift to him. Shortly after, with time running out before we had to dress in tuxes and wed off one of our best friends, I hooked one. After a great battle I landed my biggest Wisconsin fish, a 49" fatty. I figured it was my reward from the musky gods for working 27 days straight setting up the new Gander. What a day, Phil caught two great catches. One big musky and a great woman who loves to fish with him. I'm still shocked days later and only pray to see fishing like that again. I hope you all have success/luck like this.
