Mark your calendars! The 1st Annual Ohio Muskie Show Presented by Gander Mountain is scheduled for February 20th-22nd. The show will be held in Columbus, Ohio at the Buckeye Hall of Fame Cafe located near the Ohio State campus.

I may try to make this show. It's not all that far away from chicago. Will there be a saturday night get together like they have at the other shows?

Of course...would it be a Muskie Show without one? The facility we are having the show at has a sports bar, game room and fine dining attached to the vendor room (similar to a Dave & Busters). Not to mention, the vendor area will also have a bar. We are suggesting people stay at the Cross Country Inn hotel which is immediately next door to the Buckeye Hall of Fame Cafe. Maybe Gander Mountain could stock more of their stores with muskie baits. Our store has 1/2 of a back endcap. I worked for them and I guess it would't be fiscally prudent. Steve

From what I understand Gander Mountain is really starting to focus more on Muskie Fishing. They've added 16 year old Libby Honoe from Minnesota to their pro-staff and I guess sponsoring our show is a start! Are you thinking of coming to the show in February?

I called the Cross Country Inn listed on the show's webpage as being right next door to make a room reservation for Saturday night. Cross Country no longer owns the facility and their 800 number folks didn't have the direct dial number. Here it is: 614.291.2983. The sponsors apparently didn't arrange for a group rate for us. Mention the Show and you will get a discount. If you booked a room at a differant hotel you might want to cancel and rebook at this one as it is right next door to the event, in otherwords you can stumble home.
