Hi all, some of you may have seen this already on another board but I want as many People to see as possible so, I've got a new soft bait that I thought I'd share with you that I've been working on for about 2 years now. I've been trying to get a large soft bait that works like a topwater bait with a snake like action. So far no luck on gettin it to work topwater like I want it to. It started out way, way, to heavy , so I trimmed the mold down to about 1/2" thick poured a few more & tried it again. Still doesn't have that head up snake like action that I'm looking for. I know (if I hit the right combination) it's going to be a killer bait for the larger fish (Like Muskies)that will take a topwater lure.
Even though it does not work topwater like I want it to, it does work really great as a big jerk bait. It will glide along for about 3 feet, give it a jerk and it will take off an a totally new direction. Sometime left, sometimes right, sometimes straight up and pops out of the water, sometimes it will dive deep. But It will normally run about 3 feet deep. When it glides, it always goes straight till you twitch it. If you just cast it out and just let it sink it guides forward head first at about a 10 degree angle down in a slow fall. So, I'm wondering if there is a market out there for a large jerk bait of this type. It is about 12" long. 1 1/4 " wide, and about a 1/2" thick.
I can't seem get them on here so here is a link to it,

If I do decide to market them I already have the name picked out. I'm going to call it The "Big Jerk". No I didn't name it after Myself.
Do any of you think that there is any kind of a market for a lure of this type and with this action? I'm going to have some prototypes ready in about a month that will be available at about my costs (3 to 4 bucks each) plus shipping if anyone is interested. I'm interested in what colors you guys think would be good I'm thinking a rainbow trout colored one. It will come pre-rigged with a steel leader as I had to special order the hooks for it.

I've got some other interesting Musky baits in the works too, but their not ready yet.
I'm still working on my topwater bait for big toothy critters too.
