Hi guys,
Looking for any info or feedback from any of you who have stayed on Cedar or Perrault Lakes in Ontario. The lodges I have found so far include...
On Cedar
1. Cedar Lake Lodge
2. Jerry and Ellie's Cedar Lake Camp
3. Wogenstahl's
4. Cedar Point Resort
5. Keystone Lodge
On Perrault
1. Rainbow Point Lodge
2. Manotak Lodge
3. Rocky Shore Lodge
Anyone here have any feedback (either positive or negative) about any of these lodges? Looking for a place with gas and electricity available on the docks, and clean cabins with electricity and indoor plumbing.
Thanks in advance for any feedback!

[font color=green size=3][b]I have a cottage in that area. It's my understanding that Wogenstahl's has been sold very recently, this camp has not seen a lot of improvements in recent years. Cedar point I beleive changed hands last winter, I've not heard much about it. Jerry and Elli's camp has been sucessfull for a number of years that I know of.
Manotak is pretty pricey and well kept, they hire a lot of help. Rainbow point is also well maintained and they've been sucessful for a number of years. Rocky Shores was purchased last winter, the new owner is a pretty high energy, but a down to earth guy.
Depends on which lake you choose and what you want to pay. But Cedar will probably have more Muskie action.

Thanks trailerguy,
I appreciate the input. Actually Manotak has a "father-son special", where the American Plan is substantially reduced as long as your father is at least 65 yrs old (so we would qualify-- I think it's only 500 per person/week American plan, so not that much more than going housekeeping somewhere else).
However, my main concern with staying on Perrault is that, from looking at the map, it looks like it could get a bit rough at times, with fewer islands to hide behind. Is that a fair assesment? Also, do you know approximately how far of a run it is to get from Perrault (Manotak), down to Cedar? From a location standpoint, would you tend to favor resorts located on Cedar if you're primarily fishing muskies?
Thanks,
John

[font color=green size=3][b]Perrault can be very rough in a high wind. A friend spent the night on an island one time because of that. It's 10-12miles down the highway to Cedar, you might try Cliff lake as well on the south end, off of Deer Lake road. I've picked up muskies there fishing bass. To me time spent on the road, getting in and out, ect. is time not spent fishing.
I have seen boats that couldn't get back across Perrault after fishing Cedar for the day, the waves cn get pretty ugly.
Both Jerry and Ellie's and Cedar Point are located in areas that will let you fish regardless of the weather. They both are centrally located on the lake. I don't know much about the new owners at Cedar Point (I stayed there several times under the old ownership) but I can say that Jerry and Ellie run a great camp. The boats were nice, the cabins are kept in very good repair, and Jerry actually fishes the lake (many of the camp owners don't).
