Anyone have an update for LOTW conditions and muskie activity? I'll be fishing Sabaskong very soon. Thanks!

A friend fished the NW Angle last week (June 22-24), and the fish were pretty active. In a couple of days fishing, they saw over 40 fish, and put 3 or 4 in the boat, the biggest being 40". They saw a couple in the low to mid 50s, and plenty in the mid to upper 40s. The fish were still very weed oriented. There really wan't any "hot" lure. They had follows on everything from spinnerbaits to top waters. 3 of the smaller fish came on spinnerbaits, and the 40" on a 6" jake. The water temps were hitting the low to mid 70s during the afternoons. However, I just saw a post that said they have had heavy rains the last couple of days and the water is rising (again) and the water temps have dropped a little bit. However, most of the reports indicate the muskie activity is definitely on the increase, and most are saying they are seeing more fish this year than in the past few years. My group is heading up to LOTW 2 weeks from today. I can't wait. Good luck to you, and be safe.

I just got back from Sab. Good week with 6 muskies in the boat. The biggest was a 46" pig I caught JUST before the sky opened up an dumped on us. Its always fun trying to free a fish from the net/hooks while getting poured on.
All fish came off rocks. Saw some in the weeds, but mainly rocks.
