If you could go anywhere in the world for one week, where would you go to:
1. Catch the biggest Muskie
2. Catch the most Muskie.
Thanks,
AJ in San Antonio

If I were going on the musky trip of a lifetime I would go to northern Lake of The Woods to Wiley Point resort. The north end of the resevoir near Kenora & Minaki Ontario are also great areas for numbers and size.

I met a doctor out of Chicago at Wiley Point Resort who has done it all in the world of muskies. He spends as much as 6 weeks at Wiley a year.

I certainly concur with listening to Doc Carlson...we've had some great conversations and his timing and talent are beyond description.

I'd hit the Ottawa River or Georgian Bay, probably the finest trophy and/or potential record breaking waters on the planet. I've been lucky enough to tally a 52-incher so far but you all know that means 53 is the next goal. Maybe 54.

Should you turn the question to "if you could go with anyone," I would definitely know what answer I would give you: Marc Thorpe. Been fishing with him for five years now. Two doubleheaders. 30 muskies seen in awful conditions (2 days of fishing!!!). 2 52"ers within 30 minutes. Three 50 inchers seen in one day of fishing. And to crown it all, after two years wishing to break my double personal record of 52 inchers, a 53 and a 55 this summer... With a guy like this, location doesn't seem to matter as much as it used to...
