Just wondering how many different places (states/provinces) you have traveled to chasing muskies?
I have fished Kentucky, Indiana, Wisconsin and Illinois.
Canada too.
I would like to get to Minnesota (Bemidji area) in the next year or two.

Every year about this time, I used to set my goals for the next year. I always set a goal to fish at least 1 new lake every year. I met that goal every year and really enjoyed it. I enjoyed fishing new lakes and learning other bodies of water.

I did that for about 7 years.

This year I didn't fish for muskies at all. I bought a dirt bike this past spring (after a 20 year lay off) and started racing enduros and hare scrambles. I am having a ton of fun and am getting lots of great exercise.

My family also enjoys it more than they did going to muskie events. I will probably fish for muskies again, sometime down the road, but for now, it's not as much fun as it used to be.

Answering your question, I fish lakes in central Mn.

Not a whole lot of Musky fishing where I live (Maryland). However, we have Tigers in about five of the local lakes and the Potomac River in the Williamsport area is giving up 30 pounders for a few guys.

I fish in Maryland, Virginia (Naturals), and Ohio, Pa. on occasion.

Remember...fish don't live in ugly places!

Hi
I used to hang out here a bunch and type talk to a bunch of people?
Great site.
Thought it was not around any more.
Hows it going everyone?
:)

Minnesota is a fun place.
You would enjoy it for many reasons.
Every kind of fish and big fish also.
Muskie all over, just find aa area ya like as some questions and for sure you will find something to your liking.
:)
I live on 42 K acres of beautiful waters called Lake Vermilion in northern Minnesota.
All around me nothing but water and woods and more water clear to the border.
Every kind of fishing you could ever want.
Great hunting also.
Come on up sometime and have some fun.

Heading out to the ice shack for the day.

Keep on Rocken!

I have fished most of the last 25 years in WI where I live. Most has been in the Hayward area and mainly on the Chippewa Flowage. Also have fished in Ontario and more recently in Minnesota. The last several years I have been fishing mostly in MN and in all honesty I have to say that it is by far the best musky fishing I have ever seen. Lots of fish and lots of big fish. It does not seem to matter where in MN either. After 25 years of fishing in WI my largest fish was a nice 46 1/2" and only have seen about 3 fish over 48". But in just the last several years I have caught 5 fish over 50". 4 were from MN and 1 from Ontario. The average size fish I catch and have follows from in MN runs in the mid 40" class. Last year my average size caught from MN was 44.9". Average from WI was 37.8". I just sold my place on the Chippewa Flowage after 25 years and bought in MN. MN is where its at man!!
