View Full Version : Which Navionics Map?
I going to Lake Erie this year.I have a LCX-15MT. I was wondering if anyone has the MMC card for the area around the Bass Islands? Do you like it? Navionics told me that I would be better off with the map of the entire western basin? Anyone have this one? Should I buy it?
Thanks for your info.
HI Bob: I don't fish Erie, but I have the LCX15MT and use the MMC maps for LOTW. I thought of getting the whole lake, but the portion of the lake I fish was on one cartridge. I think they cost by how big the are (area covered) and if you can get "More Bang for the Buck" with the whole lake, that may be the better idea. Mike M is on here and he may be able to shed some light on the subject. Good Luck NAVIGATING....Kaz
I got the whole lake because of the added detail on it. Pricey but what the hey. Really haven't played with it enough to comment too much. Good luck.

I got the Western basin hotspot map in early summer after finding really shallow water at Bolles Harbor, no damage but a major scare and a big time drain during a tourney finding my way out. It's sure a lot easier than looking at a paper map while running or punching in hazard and fishing areas before hand, shows all the reefs, river and creek inlets and navigation markers for ramps and other data. I also got Saginaw Bay and LBDN and they're all on 1 card.
They're kinda like Reefrunners once you use one, you gotta get more! I know I'll be adding to my collection.
Hey thanks for the info.I think I'm going to be fishing around the south island, not sure, going with some guys that been there b/f.
