I just bought some Char 9 inch swim shad that looked to me like they could be good for pike / muskie. I was wondering if any of you have used them and if so how did you rig them, how did you fish them, and how did they work? Thanks

I rig them on jigs. They can be worked fast or slow, on top on hopped on the bottom. Very versatile lure.

A guy was telling me somthing about rigging them with out a jig. These 9 inchers weigh enough that you can cast them a mile with out extra weight. He said somthing about just rigging them with a hook or hooks and swimming them through the weeds. He said that without the jig they look alot like a wounded fish. I thought it sounded like somthing to try but Im not sure how to rigg them. I am thinking about maybe running the leader and hook inside the shad body. Also I dont know if I should use a singel hook or a treble.
