im looking at some lakeshore property on the 3rd and 4th crow wing lakes and am looking for some insight from any of you that have fished them. water quality and fishing quality (walleye & panfish) are very important to me. ive fished the area (mostly park rapids lakes) for years but have never gotten on the crow wings. thanks!

Brother-in-law owns a resort on Spider Lake in Nevis. I have fished the Crow Wing chain for years with him and a group of relitives. Pan fishing is great on most if not all of them. We have done really well on the 4th, 5th and 6th in the winter for crappies. 2nd, 3rd. 5th and 6th are really good walleye lakes. Clarity is better ar you climb the chain. 1st Crow is about 4 feet in clarity and 10th is about 12 feet.

As for land for sale, you might want to get the local papers and see what is advertised. Also check the resaurants for the postings as you walk through the doors. Most of them have a bulletin board. The realtors will have the big ticket lands, but a little research and snooping might yield some great deals. Hope this helps.

fished the 7th crow wing about 7 years ago i thought the lake stunk... good panfishing only !!
