I am thinking of purchasing a Vista Cam Delux. Has anyone used one and how do you rate this piece of equipment. I will use it for ice fishing in a shanty. So far I have only seen it advertised for $375.
Anybody know of anyplace that sells for less??

If I were you bouncer I would check out the Atlantis Camera. I have had good luck with it.

i have a vista cam and i must say that i am not very happy with it. the battery it comes with only lasts about 3 hours and to get a better battery is $40. it isn't as portable as i would like. if you are stuck on these however, i will sell you mine for $300. its in perfect shape and i have only used it maybe 7 times. e-mail me if you are interested in it.

I just found a new Vista Cam unit that was made about 2 years ago, and I think it was their first unit they made. It has a TV/Radio combo, and I bought it because of that too (great TV for the camper in the summer). If there are no fish, might was well watch TV :) No, but the camera system works great and the screen is 6-7" wide with an excellent picture. I ran off of a older dry cell battery used on my vexilar, and with the vexilar on and using the camera system I ran for approximately 5 hours on the battery. I thought that was pretty good.
I think you will enjoy it.
