Hi guys. Here we have a Minn Kota Power Up remote steering unit. My new boat's kicker is connected to the main steering so I dont need it anymore. $50 or trade for some trolling rods/reels or ???

Excuse my ignorance, but could you explain exactly what the remote steering is? Would it be something that I could operate my 44# transom mount Minnkota from other than the rear seat of the boat? You could e-mail me at wapiti@epix.net Thanks.

Just for anyone who is interested, its not for an electric. Its designed for a gas outboard, up to 15 hp if I remember correctly. I have some pics ready to go and can email them to anyone who requests them. It has mounts that get captured between the transom and the outboard clamps. It has 2 spring loaded hooks that connect to the spot where a conventional steering cable would mount. The old motor I had didnt have the steering connection I am talking about, so I mounted a screw eye in the same general location and hooked it up to that. It worked fine for 2 years. Hope that clears things up a bit...

-Thanks!!!

How long does it take to respond as well as go from one end of the spectrum to the other?

Can you email me a picture of it or know of one on the web.

What is retail price?

As far as response time goes, its pretty instantaneous...its an electric motor, so when you hit the switch, it moves right away. Gotta be only a few seconds for it to travel its whole range. I think it was about $90 when I bought it. I will email you a pic. If you are interested, I have some other pics I can send you as well.

I haven't seen one of these, I need to run a kicker on 18ft Lund.
Do you know if this would work on this boat. I would appreciate it if you could email pictures.

Actually, its spoken for.

But if you can find one, it would work great for you.

Minn Kota doesnt make them anymore, thats why you cant find anything on it. I can send you some pics of it anyway if you want to see what it looks like.

Yes, I would like to see the pictures if it isn't too much trouble.
Thanks
