Buddy heaters

So what is the verdict on these heaters?

Pro's? Cons?

I've never used one personally Dave but a friend of mine just tried his for the first time on New Years Day. It was about 15 degrees out and he has a decent home made 4 x 6 shanty with plastic canvas. He was not very satisfied when comparing it to the warmth he experiences in my Clam shanty heated with a Mr. Heater Cooker. It also used up a new canister of propane faster than mine yet the Heater Cooker puts out more than twice the BTU's on it's lowest setting.

The Buddy heater is supposed to be safer in enclosed areas though which is a valid concern. But I've been using Mr. Heaters in shanty's for 10 years and still have plenty of brain cells left to type, walk, and talk...just not at the same time.

They work good in a smaller tent. Fish Trap Pro one man, The 2-3 man they didn't heat well at all. I think they are 4000-8000 BTU the big tank style are 10,000 on up.
