By far my favorite one piece, 7ft, medium action rod. Thanks for the help.

Doc,

Check out the Berkley Series One SOS701M. I broke my Roach rod and they replaced it with this one. The only difference I can find is in the handle. I really like the Series One.

Fred,
Thanks that is the one they sent me as well. I sure do miss that handle though.

Did they quit making these Pulse rods?

I haven't seen them around much lately, but as of last week one of our local stores had at least 3 of them.

I'm not positive of the length/action, but if you are interested, I can take a look for you, and post the spec's.

Just let me know.

The Pulse rods were dropped a couple of years ago. They just didn't sell very well. Too bad, because they really are a great rod. Like Doc, I really liked the handle. My son still has the one I got him for Christmas about 5 years ago (the same one that Doc is looking for). I even take his and use it sometimes.

I broke my GR 7' as well last summer on Saginaw Bay and have been lost without it. What was necessary to ship/send it to Berkley? I don't think I have the warranty card and having had it for about 5 years I don't think they'd replace it w/o a replacement fee?

I really miss this rod it was like an old friend I'd come to depend on and the handles are so comfortable?

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks.

Jim,

Call 1-800-Berkley and ask them how to return the rod. At the time these rods were made they had a lifetime warranty, so you should get a replacement. Good Luck!
