Hi guys, I have a friend and neighbor who's fish finder died this past weekend. He had an inexpensive unit and probably got his money's worth over the last couple of years but now needs to replace it and came to me to get any advice I had to offer. He had intended on spending around $200 and I suggested he let me snoop around and maybe find him a pre-owned unit in good shape and maybe get a little more unit for his money. If anyone has a backup unit or is looking to upgrade a unit let me know. I had thought of something along the lines of a Garmin 240 or Lowrance x-75. He isn't a serious die hard fisherman who relies heavily on his electronics but I think if he got hold of a better unit he would appreciate the difference and some of the options. Let me know if you guys have any thing you'd like to part with. It needs to be a complete setup with all wiring and transducer. I checked Reeds and that money will get him into either a Garmin 160 or a Lowrance X-51 so there are a couple of decent options if he winds up buying new. Thanks for any and all replies.
