I called a local fish market. There are no "jumbos" this year. They have 6-7" smelt for $1.95/3, and min. order of 11#. They do not care to ship as it doubles the cost with the shipping, dry ice, etc...
You might try Superior or Ashland to see what they are getting out of Superior this year. Also, ask for herring and for ciscos as they work for bait equally well.
