Late this summer I bought a PinPoint 7520. On initial start-up I noticed a minor flaw but it wouldn't stop me from fishing. I decided to get it fixed when I put the boat away for storage. Around Christmas I started calling the PinPoint numbers in the owner's manual but only getting a desk at Mercury whose person was out on vacation. I then remembered a posting on WC about PinPoint and Thorne Bros. I looked in the archives for their telephone number and gave Matt Thompson a call. About 15 seconds into the conversation Matt was telling me to send him the unit and he would take care of it. I then told him that I had not purchased the unit from him. His reply was send him the unit and he would fix the problem. Still in disbelief, I mailed the unit on Dec. 29 and to my surprise on Jan. 3 I got a call from Matt asking if I had received the unit back. I received the unit Jan. 4, a total of 6 days. It went from IL to Minn and back and was fixed. Matt Thompson and Thorne Bros are people who make promises and keep them. In these times of large chain stores who have 16 yr olds behind the counter who don't know the difference between a jig & a crank bait there are the Matt Thompsons out there who deserve our business. When I had Matt on the phone I asked a question about PinPoint's GPS, comparing it to the unit I have. I believe the questions were answered by a person who spends a lot of time using one on the water not a salesman reading a brochure.

Now, for the disclaimer, I do not work for Thorne Brose nor do I know Matt but they will be my 1st choice when making purchases in the future.

Thank you Matt for your help.

I also have done business with Thorne Bros. and am very impressed with their service. Ordered some Salmo chubby's and they were on my door step within 3 days. Guys like this are a value to the angler looking for great service.

Paul: I too have had the best of service from Thorne Brothers. Lucky for me they are only a twenty minute drive from my home. I go there as even if I can buy something closer and maybe pay less. I want to support a fine organization like theirs. The owners are there on the floor instead of tucked away, and if they can't answer your question, they admit it, but they do get an answer for you and call you back. We in the Twin Cities are very luck to have such a team as THORNE BROTHERS locally. Keep SUPPORTING THEM....Kaz

Matt has been exceptional EVERY time I have delt with him! That is why I continue to ask his advice and purchase products from them. Thorne Brothers is fortunate to have someone as knowledgable as he is.

My first dealing with Matt was on some electronics, I thought that he was a little opinonated, it turned out that he knew the products SO well that he needed to slow down a bit so I could keep up!

I will continue to deal with them because of Matt and the friendly atmosphere that they have there. KEEP UP the GREAT WORK!!!!!

Have to agree with the above posts. I ordered some ice tackle online and then called the next day to see if I could piggy back a couple more lures so I wouldn't have to pay an additional separate shipping charge. I don't remember his name, but whoever it was said they would take care of it...and they did!

Jeez,
Easy guys, Matt is going to fall over if his head gets any bigger.
I've had the ¿pleasure? of spending a lot of time on the water with Matt over the years and I can say that he does know his stuff when if comes to electronics even if he can't net to save his life!
Thorne Bros is certainly the top of the food chain in my book in the retail stores.

I too have had nothing but good service from Thorne Bros. and will continue to patronize them whenever possible. They are extremely knowledgable and patient, explaining whatever you ask them about, they make terriffic deals and absolutely do keep their word. I don't know any of the guys personally, but that is going to change as soon as I can make arrangements to get there. I spoke to a gentleman who designs rods there, I forgot his name, and he was also very well informed and personable. I can't wait to get there and get to know the whole bunch.
