Garmin 176 Question?

I am looking to put a GPS unit on my center console. Do not have the room for a full size unit. A friend at work showed me his 176C unit and noticed that it had a slightly larger screen than most and would still fit in the limited space that I had available.

Anyone use this unit. Feedback? Recommended accessories?

My center console is open. No T-top or canvas, so the unit needs to be water tight.
