Has anyont received word on the PWT payout breakdowns ? I have not seen any information regarding this. Has it changed from "years past" ? IE spots they paydown, etc... The sign-up deadline is this weekend. Curious.

Good question
You probably wont get that information before you sign up. they dont have the championship site announced yet either. Wazzup with that?
last year they had extra boats in the west div. and pocketed a good amount of that extra money. In the east they didn't fill some of the tournments and they cut the paybacks even when they were under ten entries short. They should have used that extra money from the west to guarantee a full payout in the east but they didnt. Go ahead and give them your money Prime Media will be happy to take it from you.
good luck
I'd like to know also

This is rather strange. They want everyone to send in the money and don't say how much is going to be paid back. We don't know where the Championship is going to be held or what that payback will be. The RCL and MWC are looking better every day. In business, you would never buy into something that you don't have all the facts, How is this any different. What are the Am. fishing for. Like they made alot before.

I spoke to Jim K. this morning (Monday Jan.7)and all he was willing to tell me was that it wouldn't be any less than last year, but even that is not in writing...I think they are waiting to see how many guys are willing to blindly sign up then make a determination on how important it is to address the payout... Just my 2-cents
Walleye TOURS are pathetic organizations with very little class or skill in enticing either internal (competitor's) or external (fans) as customers. The reason for this is they are not being run to succeed in the long haul, the only concern is today's profit. Very poor organization in marketing and business ethics will surely continue to hinder our GREAT sport.
There are some great ambassador's of this sport that keep the light on, however the business people behind the scenes attempting to achieve professional stature, have lots to learn.

The only thing that can be found in black and white at this time is a sheet dated Nov. 2001 and it states that the payout will be DEEPER and more "meaningful" than ever...And that they are going to pay nearly 150% of entry fees paid. (Does that include amateur entry as well?) Even if it only includes Pro entry that means that if 135 guys fish at $1075.00 each times 150% means they are going to pay out around $217,687.50 and last year they paid out approx. $190,600.00 if you value the Lund at $30,000.00. So much to think about...
TOTAL CASH PAID OUT $140,000.00
TOTAL ENTRIES COLLECTED $222,750.00
-----------
You do the math...

looks like a lot of money went somewere if them amounts are correct, seems like putting on and running them "MUST" be more than you would think they would be, add a little tv coverage, and you would think the total brought in would be even higher. maybee everyone should be putting them on instead of fishing them !!
