I am looking for some locations for a week long vaction to MN for walleye this year - probably in June - at a reasonable price. I am interested in an American Plan(meals included in price), boat retal included too, on a small to mid sized lake. Thanks in advance.

If you want a nice place to stay with meals and boat rental included in one package give sandy point lodge on lake kabtogama a try. The walleye fishing has really come back the last few years, not to mention great pan fishing for the kids.

Most of lodges on Lake Kabetogama are good and resonably priced. A plus for Kabby is that you have direct access to Namakan and can take a truck portage to Rainy. Rainy has some nice resorts, however they are priced a little higher. These lakes are not small, but a 16 foot boat is fine for most days. Kabby, Namakan and Rainy are in the Voyagures National Park and they have several developed trails available for something different to do. There are very few cabins. Do a search as most of the resorts have web pages If you want to go in June better start looking now because they book up.

PS: These lakes are not small, but a 16 foot boat can handle it on most days.

I'm still looking for any suggestions anyone may have - I'll need to make reservations pretty quick it seems.

Lake Vermillion is very nice. Extremely large, but not much open water-300 islands, tons of bays and points.

I think Pehrsons offers american plans. Otherwise, Bayview has a nice restaurant and separate bar for bar type food and drink.

Great walleye lake and newly stocked(5-7 years) musky are numerous and exceding 50".
