Sorry to WC for this poll is so lake specific, but we wanted to gather some data for the tournament director.

I am strictly small time. Less than $50 a fisherman. Just for fun, maybe win door a prize! Dont make the kind of money to pay $200-$500 to fish a tournament.
Thanks

I would like to fish for a smaller amount or maybe enough for a nice prize for several places, and a hired BBQ for everybody!

I have not fished any tourny since 1986. I don't like crowds. I don't even fish weekends as a rule. This is why I voted for zero dollars. This is just my preference and not meant to start an argument.

I agree entrys are too high. They should be lowered and make it less expensive to fish tourny's. Pay backs should be only to the podium finishers. That way there would still be a decent payout for top finishes. You would still have some money to support the locals when you got to the tourny site also. "COMA"

I likewise won't pay the high entry fee and I live near Glendo. If you look at the odds of winning something, you're better off going and gambling. Best tourney I ever fished is in the small town of Pollock, S.D. $140 team entry fee. Pays down to 20 places each day and each day is separate, i.e. no weight carryover. So if you zero on day 1 you still can pick up some money if you have a good day 2. Sponsored by the volunteer fire dept.

Pretty hard to make a judgement just on the first place check. How many places pay, and how much? What's the payback percentage? What else do you get for your entry fee, a meal, newsletter, patches, decals, product discounts?
