Haven't heard much from you since the Get-Together. Either I scared you off or you are really busy.
Cabelas is selling what looks like an Okuma line counter under the Cabelas name. I wanted to find out how those have held up. Let us know.
How is the nursing career going?

Eric;
Geetins; have been reading a few posts here and there and even made a couple of posts. I am on semester break as we speak, but will start again on the 14th. Havn't had a lot of time to surf WC, but still jump in from time to time.
The Okuma LC's, for me at least, work fine. No probs at all. I looked at that combo that you cite and it looks pretty good. Also, FishUSA has a good price on the 20 & 30 series reels, as well as two Okuma rods; one is a downrigger, and the other a dipsy/planer rod.
Nice to hear from you, read the WY. CO. boarder war post; sic em! LOL
Already looking forward to the next Western Get Together, great people, outstanding fishing. I also followed your post on your kicker adventures, have you tried it out as of yet?
I have a spring and summer semester to do this year, by the time I am finished with them, as well as working when I am not in school, I will be ready to Shut up And Fish.
Take care and keep in touch.
Tom

Glad to see your still persuing the career. Wasn't sure if you status in the "Guard"?? got you called up to find Osama. Ahhh, yes semester breaks; probably not the same when your not 20 yrs old though. LOL.

I'm looking to get a good linecounter and new that the Okuma had reeled in a ten pounder! Reading a post recently on comparison of the Cablelas vs. Okuma seems like the Cabelas are the upgrade from Okuma, but it costs more too. I will check out FishUSA for the combos. May be able to get two instead of one. Have you dealt with FishUSA?

I only get after those Wyoming guys cuz I'm jealous I have to live down here in Denver, California. I hope the fishing at the next Get-Together is as good. The kicker is awesome! I just ordered a Trollmaster which will give me throttle control at the wheel. Should work out nicely. I've got the boat stored out in a friends implement shed in Fleming, CO. Nice and dry.
Good hearing from you.

Eric;
I'm retired from the military, so I go right after wimmin and kids, but an Osama hunt w/o bag limit, or possession limit could possibly persuade me to come out of retirment.
That Neal is on the ball and starting the planning for the GTG, whatta guy! I am already planning on being there.
Take care.
