I was looking a a HotSpots map last night and was thinking that a clear scale to lay across a grid would be great to calculate the exact GPS coordinates. Does anyone know if there is anything like this available and where I could get one.

I'm not sure if this is what your looking for or not but I picked up a small clear plastic Lat/Long measuring tool(approx. 2"x4") at Tutts bait shop in Garrison Minnesota that they sell to use in conjuction with their Whiffer maps. It takes the large Lat/Long grid squares that make up their maps and breaks them down into more precise GPS coordinates with a series of etched grid lines on the plastic. Just locate the square on the Whiffer map within which your trying to navigate and lay the tool on top and you now have a break down grid of the area inside the maps large grid. Hope this helps. Cabella's has carried such a tool. Clear plastic, grid lines, about typing paper size. Sorry, I don't know if they still handle it. I got mine about 1 -2 years ago???? I also got the grid for meters or the UTM grid.
