I'm planning on buying a new jigging rod, and was curious about the Series One. The price is right, and they feel nice, I just wanted some feedback from people who have tried them.
Thanks

The Series One is a good investment. I have one and must say that it has been a good purchase.
My brother has one, and it is really, really nice. It is quite limp, and we call it the "noodle", but detecting bottom and hits it is just awesome. I think it is 7', and spinning. He also has a casting that is very good.

I have three of them in baitcasting models. I love my 6'6" one for jig-n-piging Bass. I really do like them quite a bit. Now that I build my own rods, they're the only factory rods I'm going to keep.
Although....... I just took the rod that I like to jig-n-pig with and stripped the guides off because I wanted to redo the guides. I feel the blanks needs one more guide and I want it done in a spiral wrap for jigging. I was very unimpressed with how the epoxy on the wraps just peeled off the blank. It was semi-soft. All it took was my thumbnail and a little brush cleaner to totally clean any residue off the blank. If it weren't for the little bit of sunfade on the blank, you'd never know there were ever any guides on it. It stood up to 3 years of hard fishing though. Lots of Walleyes trolling and lots of Bass in some real junk.
Better to have and not need than to need and not have!

I have several and love them. I think they are a good compromise between high-priced jig sticks like the Loomis and lower end stuff. They are a very good value for the money, and durable. I'd say they are 80% as sensitive as the Loomis for less than half the money.

Tough to do better without doubling the cost. Go for it!
Only doownside is you may not want to use your other rods.

I have 4 that I have been using for 2 years for jigging. Two are the kind you use with a baitcasting type reel and two have spinning reels on them. I love them. They are light, sensitive and reasonably priced. I use 2/10 Power Pro line with mine and it makes for great sensitivity. I am sirprised that they dont charge more for them. I have several jigging rods that I had purchased previously that are far more expensive and they are collecting dust. Go for it. You will not be dissappointed.

I used one of the 6' new style series one rods when my St croix was away on warranty. I was very impressed, and if I didn't already have a nice jigging rod, this is what I'd get. Can't beat the price for the quality that you get. Also a very attractive rod.

I had one and liked it also. Unfortunately it broke and when I sent it in, they wanted $45 for a replacement rod. Based on other post for other brands, I thought that was a little steep.
