For example, Reef Runner Deep Divers show the best action at 1.5 mph and can be trolled up to about 2.8 mph effectively. Hot-N-Tots (1/2 oz.)can run faster at 3.3 mph effectively, but the best action takes place slower than 1.5.

Looking for info on minnow immitators like Thundersticks, Super Rogues, Rapalas #13, #18 (and #13 Husky), and Bang-O-Lures #4 and #5.

I'm also looking at a cross minnow/shad immitator Wally Diver/Minnow.

being that i don't use fake minnows much, i know nothing...but my buddy, mr. seelhoff, trolls FAST. he averages at least 2.5 but spends alot of time at 3mph or better. what i've seen...faster is better than slower with the fake minnows. (for those of you who don't know, ron seelhoff is known for his crankbait trolling on the tournament trail. his record of winning with crankbaits is second to none)

HotnTots can be trolled down to 1 mph and still get plenty of action. Lazy Ikes can be trolled down to .5 mph. You can also tip them with worms without lessening the action too much.

The short bill of stick baits allows them to be trolled much faster than deeper cranks. And there are a few that will tollerate speed better than most. The Rip Stick is one the Rebel Fast Track minnows are an other. Bango lures are NOT speed tolerant, rouges and Raps are better slower as well. The shallow thundersticks have too muck action to take a lot of speed also.

Little experience with the Wally Diver, sorry. But I will say that 14 & 15 Bomber Long As behave themselves. Good luck.
