Ice on Mille Lacs? [Archive] - Walleye Message Central

Anybody been out on Mille Lacs the last couple of days? Looking to head that way this weekend from ND and don't want to drive all that way to have bad ice. Any recent fishing reports would be helpful also. Places, presentations, times and such.

I was up there last weekend, before this latest warm up. We went out through Rocky Reef resort on the S.W. side. We had at least 14" of ice then. Able to drive out about a quarter mile or so. Fished in about 18' and had a little luck (23", 20" and a 12"). Also had a couple of break offs. Good luck and let us know how you do.
