Because of the last post that I had, it got me thinking about what the ultimate set up in your dream boat would be, such as electronics, GPS, downriggers, basically all the toys.
So my question to all you WC'ers out there, if money was no object what would your dream set up be like, without severe overkill of course!! What kind of boat would it be, whats the toys you would put on it, and heck lets here what you would pull it with! Remember money is no object.

For boats its a lose lose situation. If you buy glass you will have stress cracks within a couple years. If you buy tin, you will have rivets falling out within a couple of years. So I would choose a blue and gold 1990 tuffy with a 200 yammy hpdi and 8 hp kicker with t&t. I would have X-85's front, counsel, and back, and garmin gps 182's on counsel and front. A 101 lb thrust maxxum on the bow and a 74 lb vantage on the back. My tow vehicle would be a green chevy avalanche.

Great Question. Sounds like a fun question that I will not look into and just give my ansewer. Kind of practical but it would be:

Brand new Lund 1800 Pro v Tiller Grey or White with a 90 horse Merc. Wave wacker splash guards. Minkota Vantage 74lb, Two Bottom Line 5300 in the back, one used as a depthfinder and one as a gps.A Bottom Line HR on the bow. A 24v Genesis on the Bow. A Garmin 12 Handheld gps. My rig will be pulled by a new 4 door Yukon-silver.

hehe :)

My dream is something that is paid for, which will be mine in less than a year on the boat and about 2 years on the truck.

Other than that, for looks and ride possibly a 620, 205 or big Skeeter, with 225Opti and T8 (I don't care if they match). I'm a fan of Lowrance.

But because of layout and the care required of glass, probably more realistically ProV2025 with 225Opti or Yam, a T8.

I'd still keep my Chev with 350, it's just been bulletproof.

Great question. Always nice to dream. 19 ft Pro V.Biggest Merc 4 stroke it can handle. On the bow 100pd Genesis, and lowrance 85. Wave Wackers and 100pd transom mount Min Kota, Lowrance x15. Mapping GPS. In the rod lockers to many St. Croixs and Loomis to use, all with Shimanos. Pulled by My Duramax Chevy, with a cooler full of cool ones. And enough money to fish every day. Docked on my lot on Lac Seul.

Bracing I.E. Knees, Strongboards, AME Fiberglass Resin, 5 Inches more beam, Small pad, 175 hp rated, because of more beam, Vance Jackplate(6 inch), Yamaha HPDI Motor, DAH modified Trophy and Tempest, Hydraulic steering, $10,000,000, 2003 Suburban to pull it.

I hit the send key and thought, Hey, adding that beam and upping only 25hp would make that dream boat- a strong, light, and short, under powered Storm. So lets pull the beam idea. I bet Gary would of been all over that one.:)

I keep hearing about the "rivets falling out" thing. I have a '92 Smokercraft. Not the heaviest, best, or most expensive aluminum boat. But, I haven't lost a rivet or had any detectable leaks yet. I hope my luck continues told hold out.
