This site had a lot of info on Michigan fishing and it went on vacation for lack of payment according to the site info I was wondering if every site that has pertinent info is going to have to start charging the people that use them $$$ if so if we all track multiple sites what/where do we stand as the consumer we can't afford to buy the products and support the information to use the products.Seems like we should start or find a forum that promotes our sport. This site is great as far as i'm concerned but if someday the same thing happens here what does that leave us the folks that buy and use the produucts that we use.Use to be we would go to a show and they would give away hats and other promotional stuff to the people buying there product but now they expect us to pay for the privalige to advertize and wear there products and logos there is something wrong with this picture. We use the product and should not have to pay for the privlage to promote and sell their stuff. My 2 cents!

You are correct Paul. The advertising thing changed when we started buying Nike and Adidas T-shirts and giving them the free advertising. Then it was Coke, Disney, Old Navy, etc. We kept buying because we wanted to have the latest "cool" logo. Now you see Columbia, Bass Pro, etc. on our coats and rain gear and WE are paying for it and giving them free advertising. Like you said, they should be paying us to wear it. Why should they give hats away if we're silly enough to pay for them. Will it ever change? I don't see it happening.

As far as this site and it's finances. They sell the Walleye Central logo stuff and charge the advertisers a fee for their spots but Scott is surely not lining his pockets with sponsor money. I'm sure he can give us all a better idea of what he's spent on Servers and such than any of us could ever imagine. AND the priceless time away from his family that he so selflessly expends. Thank You, Scott. And all the others that make this place so great.

I would have to agree with Supertroller & Perchjerker that this is the best thus far. There may be a better site out there, but I haven't found it yet. Keep up the good work Scott and thanks for all your hard work.
