I'm not familiar with a particular Mississipi Lake South West of Ottawa, but I do know a little about what is reffered to as the Canadian Mississipi river system. This system runs from Rice Lake, through Crotch Lake (not a joke) and several others till it reaches the Pembrooke and Mattawa river flowing to Ottawa. It has been a long time since I was back in the area, I live in Saskatchewan now, but I can provide some information.

There is a section that is reffered to as Mississipi. Could be the place, it is on Hwy 509 to Plevna after the Ompha turn I believe. Nice area, but has been fished hard for eyes, and I think that Slots are now in effect(no fish between 18"-24"), could be wrong though. Great smallmouth's, pike, and panfish. Easy access right off the road. I remember the blackfly's were just killer in the spring though.

If this is the place and you want somemore info let me know.
