I am also looking for a rear deck for my 1996 681 VS. I contacted a local Ranger dealer and they said they could order one for around $500. I plan on building my own. 3/4 inch treated plywood with matching carpet for about $80. My friend built one for his 681 and put a support near the center front edge. Hope this helps.

I built my own for a 619. Cost about $50.00 is stronger, no heavier and just as easy in and out. If youd like Id be happy to talk you through it.
