I just bought (2) GC66m fiberglass rods for trolling. Anyone else have them? They look like they have a good action/stiffness to use with smaller dipsies and crankbaits. I matched them with shimano 301's. Not a high end setup, but $300 is not cheap for a couple trollers. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanx.

I've used glass St. Croix rods for years and wouldn't troll without them. I use the 7 ft. medium action but that's just my prference. I use Penn 109 reels just because they have back reel capabilities which saves lots of fish from getting off next to the boat. For line counters I have both Okuma and Garcia which both work well for me. Hope you have the same luck that I've had, also the rods are almost impossible to break.
