I'd like to find a used canoe that someone is willing to sell. I'd prefer a 16 or 17 foot boat, with a Royalex or plastic hull. If anyone has such an item, please let me know! I'm in Ohio, though I travel some for work and might be able to pick up out-of state.

You might want to check www.craigslist.org and go to your local area. I found an alumacraft canoe in Minneapolis for $250, and there are often old/new/alum/plastic/fiberglass/etc. canoes listed. It is a no fee site, and you deal direct with a local private seller. Nice way to find used items.
Good luck, from what I saw when I was looking, your ideal canoe would cost about $225 to $400 depending upon size and condition.
