Anyone that can give me some info on handline reels, such as where to buy them, the best for value but still work good. Can they be put in my ram mount rod holders, how do you mount them. Any info appreciated.
Thanks rangerpat01

The best hand line reels are the ones you build yourself. I use the victrolla. The grand daddy of them all. Very hard to find, but I might be able to find one if your interested the a-s automatic reel are popular, but they are limited to 300ft of wire. I don't like wire, because wire is to sharp. Very hard to work with. I use copper. Ray

rangerpat, there's the river rat-black spool, kachman and a&s. i'v used the river rats and a&s. both work good but the a&s will last a life time. my choice. andys tackle box in melvindale has the river rat, 313-388-3474. lakeside fishing shop carry's the a&s call either store at st. clair shores, 810-777-7003 or farmington, 248-473-2030.
go with 60# coated wire.
