Has anyone tried the new Cabela's Depthmaster Gold line-counter reels? If so, what do you think? How do they compare to the Daiwa line-counter reels, and if you were going to buy a new line-counter which would it be, Cabela's or Daiwa?

I have used a Depthmaster reel for 1 year. So far, so good. Very satisfied with the line counter. I have never used the Diawas.

Try the cabelas digital line counter. By far the best reel to me smoother than any diawa I have used and the battery lasted all summer. It is just a watch battry 1.50 at any store a few bucks more but definately worth it. Give them a try
