FINWICK ROD,WALMART

Just noticed in Walmart tonight,a Fenwick spinning rod 6.0ft.,
labeled, Victria,(or something like that).Looks and feels like
a high in rod. Have you guys seen this,if so ,what do you think?

I have fished Fenwick rods for twenty years. Never heard of a Victria. Looking at there catalog they list the following rods in
order of quality.

Techna AV
HMG AV
HMG
Fenglass
HMX
Eagle GT

The rod you saw at Wal-Mart could be made for them by Fenwick. But not one of their regular stock. I personally use the HMG AV, and HMG and am very satisfied. But not sure on the one you are looking at. Good Fishing.

That rod is new and made especially for Wal-Mart. It is wrapped on
the Fenwick Eagle blank with actions made for walleye fishing. An
excellent choice for those looking for a combination of sensitivity
and strength. You will be hard-pressed to find a better rod in that price range. I will be using them and making them available to my partners on the PWT and RCL circuits this year.
