I am looking for a good guide service for Lake Erie. This would be for a group of six. We would like to go out of Ohio. We are also looking at booking a trip for a mixed bag of walleye and smallmouth bass. If anyone has a recommendation for a good guide, please post. Thank you.

Carpslayer,
You'll get some more options if you can post back with the following:
1) When do you plan to come?
2) Where do you want to go out of - Western, Central, East basins.
Where are you coming in from? The winter sport shows are starting now so you may be able to talk to some of the guides at the shows.
Depending on when/where you plan to go I can refer you to several top notch Captains. Post here or email if you prefer.
Good Luck,
Steve

As for questions: We would like to come late July since we heard that this is the best time to catch a mixed bag of walleyes and smallmouths. We are not necessarily looking at going this year but rather next year. We haven't ruled out this year however. We would like to go out of the Toledo/ Port Clinton area. We are attending fishing shows and seeing what is out there. With us driving 6-7 hours out there, we just want to make sure that we don't get an unpleasant experiance.
