I have found the #14 rainbow trout Husky Jerk to be a great producer of trophy walleye, muskie, and northern in the fall. It is definitely one of my favorite crankbaits. This particular pattern is not in the Cabela's or Bass Pro catalogs that have just come out. There was also a vendor at the St. Paul Sportsman's show that had them on a table with a bunch of other discontinued cranks (risto's, old tsticks, etc.). It sure seems like that pattern has been discontinued. Can anyone confirm this? Anyone else had success with the RT?

TIA!

Just checked the 2002 Rapala Product Catalog and it shows the #14 RT. Hope that helps.

It doesn't appear in either cabela's or BPS catalog and I haven't been able to find one at Galyan's or Gander Mountain since I began looking last summer. I found 1 at Mills Fleet Farm in Brainard but it was the last one and it looked like they had plenty of the other colors. So, if it appears in the Rapala catalog - I wonder if it is a retailer decision not to carry it?

Ya know...sometimes it just doesn't make any sense. You are in MN which is not exactly a trout factory and you have great success in that RT Husky Jerk. I live in Salmonoid central (WA state) and have caught big walleyes on every color of Husky Jerk made...except for one...the RT or rainbow trout. Back to the drawing board.
