Looking at configuration for new lcx15 for spring, was going to just get 200khz skimmer untill I talked to local lake trout expert, he recommends the 50/200, he is running 350a and likes the 50 for shallow water? exactly opposite of what you read and lowrance says, I suspect it is because of the large cone angle at 50 picks up more because of the area. Sounds like a good configuration, 50 with wide cone and 200 with 12 degree cone for narrowing target down,, anybody running this configuration? Understand some problems with duel frequency transducer? Also interesting that the power for the 50/200 is 8000/4000 vs 3000 for 200k alone....where does the extra 1000 watts at 200khz come from.
