Anyone have any Binkleman jig molds or jigs laying around. Thanks

Bill used to be a good friend of mine. He had all of his jigs manufactured with a centrifugal mold. They virtually had no lead flash on them that way. He did not pour his own. He did do all of the painting in his basement. Can't believe that his house never blew up with all of the lacquer fumes that accumulated in his basement. All of my Binkelman jigs have been used up and I now pour my own using the Do-It molds. They are basically the same as what he had.

While looking for the molds that I have and use, 12 of them, I have found that Do-It has modified their molds for the round head jig after checking their website. They only come with a ball type or tapered barb collar instead of the staight collar without a ball or barb. They have the same number but a different shape inside the mold. Even the walleye shaped head jig Bill has now has the ball on the end of the collar.

The JR-7-A mold has 7 pour holes for 1 each 1/32 to 1/2 oz.
The JR-8-1632 mold has 8 pour holes for 4 each of 1/32 & 1/16 oz.
The JR-8-48 has 8 pour holes for 4 each of 1/6 & 1/4 oz.

You may be able to find some of the older molds at Cabela's, Gander Mountain, Sheels, Bass Pro Shops, etc. Neither the Netcraft or Stamina catalogs show the JR molds.

Here is the link to Do-It's website for round head jigs:

Yes, Bill had the 3/16 oz. round head jig. It was special made for him with the centrifugal molds. I have never seen any molds with that size in them. They turned out to be my best fish catching jig when times got tough. Used them in late fall with redtail chubs in deep water.

Thanks. Bill's jigs had a straight collar with no ball or barb at the end of the collar. That's what I was looking for.

This mold would probably work if you ground out the mold to make the collar straight and then cut off the barb before painting them. That may keep the jig pretty close to a 3/16 oz.
