I'm looking at both units. What are the advantages of each unit?

I have the X16CI and love it. using the sunscreen I can see it easily in all but the brightest days. In lower light the plotter trail is cool. Definition is great on the sonar and you can tell schools of bait from fish easier because of the difference in color.
If your in a open boat with a way of protecting it from the sun, get the color if not use the monochrome one.
Both are good units.

I believe the screen on the 15mt is larger and has more pixels than the screen on the 15ci. Chairman is right, if you want the color go with the 16color.
