I recently purchased a Garmin GPS3 to use for hunting and fishing and I was wondering if anyone has used the Mapsource CD-ROMs that you can download from on your pc. They offer a Fishing Hot Spots cd for 99.99 through Cabelas that I was considering. Has anyone tried this product and if so, how did you like it? Did you find the data to be accurate?

Thank you.

I have used the Map Scource CD for the US and find it to be fairly accurate, the Canadien CD rom is terrible though not much better than the base map. I have not used the Hot Spot yet wait till spring, I talked to the factory and they are coming out with more lake maps.

I have the Fishing Hotspots loaded on my Garmin 168. The Okla lakes I have used it on the contour lines and the depth readings are very close. I have been pleased with my purchase.
