View Full Version : Trapping Minnows
Anyone have experience trapping minnows? Should they be placed where streams into a lake? Bait with hard bread? Of course we will check local regulation on lake we will be fishing. Thanx
the bread will work but dry dog food works much better. put the trap in holes or cutbanks in creeks, below culverts or between big rocks in lakes. it's usually feast or famine. more than one trap in more than one place works best.

What do you hang the dog food in? Thin Nylon stocking hanging near the center of the trap?
i just throw a handful in there. the idea is to have the granules flow down stream asap to make the minnows follow the food source into the trap.
