Where would be the best place to go for the ultimate walleye fishing trip in the US and what time of the year would it be?
Thanks, Randy

Randy, that all depends on how you enjoy catching eyes. Do you enjoy
jigging or trolling? If you like trolling, lake erie can't be beat.
But if you like jigging or finess fishing , lake erie is not the place to go. Erie has lots of 5 to 8 pounders, but you have to watch weather water can get ruff fast. you could be ther to fish 5 days, and only get out 1 or 2 days. thats the downfall.

Columbia River in the fall during a full moon! Yee ha! Big fish in the teens!

out in Oregon land where the walleyes grow bigger and nobody fishes for them!
Little Bay de Noc in Michigan's U.P. during late October can not be beat for 8 - 10 lb walleye!!
I stay at a place called Sall-Mar Resort. Great hosts, and GREAT prices. Check them out at www.sallmarresort.com Check out their reports, and see some of their walleye's through the ice!!

Do I have to stay in the states?
If so, Big Bay de Noc, Saginaw Bay and Lake Erie Western Basin are all comparable.
Going to Canada? Would rather go for pike because Big Bay de Noc, Saginaw Bay and Lake Erie Western Basin are all comparable.
Next trip of a lifetime? Peacock Bass in the Amazon. That will be my 4th trip of a lifetime. Make sense?
