How large is the Cleveland sports show? Is it worth driving 3hrs to see. Can you get good deals on fishing gear there. Can't pass up a good deal!!

I will be driving 5hrs and spending 3 days there. There are a few deals. What is nice is taking in seminars from pros as well as having the tech people there to ask questions on their products. Check out http://www.expoinc.com for show schedule.
I'm there helping my dealer on the weekends. Lucky enough to have our space smack in front ot the stage where Keith Kavajecz and Ted Takasaki were giving seminars. Both guys did a great job. Down to earth info. There is a wide variety of "stuff" there. I discribe this show as " a place to come and enjoy your favorite beverage and wrestle the bear", and this year you really can wrestle a bear there. I've not been all through the show, but it would appear that there is enough dealers and small manufactures there to be worthwhile. Hope this helps.

Went to the show on Sunday. Got to watch Kieth and Ted talk about how they approach walleye fishing when they come to the big pond(Lake Erie). Learned some good tips.
Only complaint was $6 to park, and $8 to get in. Didn't even try to eat there, too costly for the quality of food.
Saw some deals(Even bought some), then got to hold one of the newer Okuma 20D's. They looked nice and I changed(originally 30D's) my order with Den for a pair of these.
Check out the schedule at the Cleveland Sport SHow Web site before going, to make sure you can listen to someone you want.

I went to the show and had a good time. It was worth the drive and plan on going next year. Was impressed with Ohio,s conservation Department. It sounded to me like they work with there sportsmen.New York is threatening to close more hatcheries if the don't get an increase in licence fees.
