Everyone knows that 98% of the walleyes in the United States are in Ohio...lol

The remaining 67 percent are in the Dakotas (42% in SD, 40% in ND), and Minnesota holds another 38 percent, Wisconsin comes in with about 31 percent, then there's the Mississippi system (Inc Illinois tribs) with another 28 percent -- Man, we've got some walleye fishery.

Hey you guys forgot Michigan, right now our walleyes are in Michigan waters of Lake Erie. Don't forget the Bay de Noc's, Saginaw bay, and lots of other lakes.

For a grand total of %277 percent, plus the unspecified percentage in michigan.... we appearantly have more walleyes than we have...

I guess us fisherman aren't really known for our mathematical abilities :) I know I can only count to 5 walleyes, after that I just call it a good day. :)

Let's add the Columbia River (8 %), Montana's Ft. Peck Reservoir (6 %), Missouri's several impoundments (7 %), those in northern Arkansas (5 %), and then Kentucky and Tennessee and we're soon pushing 300 percent. Not bad. Not bad.

300%? COOL!! Hehehe ;-)

Hey Bob S. What do you fish most? Lakes or rivers? What state? Some more "specifics" sure would help you get some answers.

I suppose we've got to add another 6.5 percent for PA. Haven't even heard from NY yet.

Hello, I made the post about 98% of the walleyes
being in Ohio... I live in New York. I don't think we can brag much more than the Pa. guys.
Oh, maybe a bit more... But if I wanted to see some really fantastic walleye fishing I'd get on
Interstate 90 and drive eight or nine hrs....
And visit the Buckeye Boys...lol What we mount on our walls, they eat for lunch!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the best bunch of replys I've read in a long time. This is a hoot... Like fishermen have a lot of credibility to begin with!

Since the term FISHERMEN was used with that credibility comment, I guess I'm excluded from that :-) But seriously it would be nice if we could answer the original question... Trouble is I think we scared him off :-( Hey, if you're out there could we please have some more info??????
The GUYS need to get back their credibility....
